Event Description
Through Boswell Books Author Talk series, Urban Ecology Center welcomes James H. McCommons. Author of "The Feather Wars: And the Great Crusade to Save America's Birds". 

James H. McCommons is a professor emeritus at Northern Michigan University and a veteran journalist; specializing in ecology along with environmental and travel topics. His most recent work touches on the decimation of birds during the late nineteenth and early twentieth century and the responsive rise of the bird conservation movement. 

In celebration of the Brew City Birding Festival, head to the Riverside Park UEC for readings from the author and a book signing to follow! 

Proceeds support Urban Ecology Center's work connecting people in cities to nature and each other.
