Event Description(For adults & teens) Universally, birds have developed a multitude of adaptations that make them well equipped for flight. However, different birds fly in unique ways. The unique patterns of bird flight, in combination with other clues can help us to identify them. Learn how in this workshop! Participants will learn about the adaptations that allow birds to fly, the mechanics of flight, and how to identify birds in flight based on their body, wing, and tail shape as well as flight patterns. This workshop will be classroom-based without a field component. Some prior birding knowledge is helpful but birders of all experience are welcome!
