10:30 AM - 12:00 PM
Riverside Park

Event Description
(For everyone) Have you ever wondered what that yellow, purple or red flower is? Join our Land Stewardship experts to learn about the taxonomy of plants and their identifying characteristics. We will stroll through our parks to see what's in bloom and talk about the names and features of the plants we see. Botany Walks occur once per month at each of our Urban Ecology Center branches, on rotating Fridays, so you can join them all!

1st Friday of the month at Riverside Park; for questions reach out to Kim Forbeck, kforbeck@urbanecologycenter.org

2nd Friday of the month at Washington Park; for questions reach out to Michaela Rosenthal, mrosenthal@urbanecologycenter.org

3rd Friday of the month at Menomonee Valley; for questions reach out to Jeff Veglahn at jveglahn@urbanecologycenter.org

All walks start at the front door of the UEC building at 10:30am until noon. Please, wear comfortable and weather appropriate shoes and clothing. Bring along a hand lens and a field guide, if you'd like. The Botany Walks take place entirely outside.

Registration is required for this event.
