Earth Week of Service - Mulching in Washington Park

Friday, April 29, 2022

9:00 AM - 11:00 AM
Washington Park

Event Description
(For everyone) Help us mulch our trails through our Woodlands and Prairies. Volunteers will help us fill wheelbarrows of mulch and spread it over walking paths, smothering fabric, and around trees. Mulching helps control unwanted growth, shows us where the trails are, and helps make the parks beautiful. Volunteers will need to be able to use a shovel, rake, and/or lift a wheelbarrow.

For any additional questions about this program, reach out to Davita Flowers-Shanklin at dflowersshanklin@urbanecologycenter.org.
