Event DescriptionIt’s the ultimate neighborhood showdown! Who deserves the crown for “most lovable local critter”? We’ll hear from wildlife professor-Dr. Chris Yahnke and learn how opossums and raccoons survive the cold months, learn why these are good species to track for climate change, and why they both play important roles in keeping our ecosystems healthy. You’ll leave with a newfound appreciation (and maybe a favorite team) for the wild neighbors sharing our city. For questions about this program, please reach out to Director of Community Programs, Cassie Bauer, cbauer@urbanecologycenter.org.
