Event DescriptionCome join us on a winter walk to learn about all kinds of adaptations that humans and other animals have to the cold and snow. We'll try out using snowshoes and use them to roam the hills of Three Bridges Park to see what we can learn from the animals around us about toughing out Wisconsin winter weather.
If you've ever wondered how geese can stand on ice without their feet freezing, why beavers are still swimming around in ice cold water, or why some animals would choose to stick around in Milwaukee when they could be taking a migration vacation, this is the program for you!
After exploring outside we'll warm up indoors with hot tea or cocoa.
Program equipment including snowshoes will be provided. No experience necessary! Please dress for the weather, including socks and close-toed shoes/boots that will stay on your feet. This program will be facilitated in Spanish and English.
