Spring Botany & History Walk in Mitchell Park

Friday, April 8, 2022

9:00 AM - 10:30 AM
Mitchell Park

Event Description
(For adults & teens) What was here before the Domes? In the early 1900s, Mitchell Park was known for its sunken gardens, boating on the pond, live concerts, and horticultural conservatory. Join Erica Veto, FOD Education Director as we learn the history of Mitchell Park.

We will also identify and enjoy the park's native wildflowers, and learn about their identifying characteristics with Jeff Veglahn, Land Steward for Urban Ecology Center.

For questions about this program, please contact Jeff Veglahn at jveglahn@urbanecologycenter.org.

Registration is required for this event through the Friends of the Domes Registration page.
