Virtual: Extraordinary Backyard Wildlife Season 1, Episode 11: The Hunger Flames: Catching Fireflies

9-10am CST, Fridays, Online via Zoom
Registration is required for this program.

Depending on where you live, you may not have to go any farther than your backyard to see fireworks this 4th of July. Nature provides her own pyrotechnics through bioluminescence, including the familiar Firefly/Lightning Bug/Glow Worm complex. Grab a hot drink this Friday morning and we’ll take a closer look at how insects glow and other incredible adaptations found by our common backyard neighbors.

Upon registration, you will be sent an email containing the link to the Zoom session. Look for this email 1 hour prior to event start time.

This is a free event, with donations accepted. There has never been a more critical time to support the Urban Ecology Center's mission of connecting people in cities to nature and each other. YOUR generous support keeps our green spaces thriving and our virtual and limited in-person programming available to all in our community.
