Virtual: Extraordinary Wildlife in Your Backyard: Full Yellow Jacket

9-10am CST, Fridays, Online via Zoom
Registration is required for this program.

In this inaugural episode of the second season of Extraordinary Wildlife in Your Backyard, we’re featuring of all those insects that sting you, ruin your picnic or get stuck in the windowsill of your kitchen. In September they take over the reins as our most despised insect from the summer mosquito. We’ll cut through all the layers of words and what they actually mean – Yellow Jackets, Wasps, and Hornets – and remind you that none of those are bees. If we’re successful, we’ll have you marvelling in awe the next time you give up on your backyard fall picnic.

Upon registration, you will be sent an email containing the link to the Zoom session. Look for this email 1 hour prior to event start time.

Why are there different pricing options below?

Pick your price
Personal financial situations vary widely so we provide two pricing options to make our programs accessible:

Price break: If you would like to attend but you’re not in a position to pay full price, please choose this option.

Please choose the option that best fits you, your family and your guests.

This is a free event, with donations accepted. There has never been a more critical time to support the Urban Ecology Center's mission of connecting people in cities to nature and each other. Your generous support keeps our green spaces thriving and our virtual and limited in-person programming available to all in our community.
