(For everyone) Connect with the diversity close to your home and contribute to science by joining the Yardversity project! Each month, people from around Milwaukee (and even the world) will virtually gather for a couple hours and document the biodiversity that exists in our backyards. This fun and interactive biodiversity challenge is for everyone!

To further enhance learning, each month will focus on a different wildlife-related topic. For the month of November we will explore the use of trail cameras. Have you ever wondered what wildlife passes through, or even makes a home of your backyard when you’re not looking? Many common wildlife species are nocturnal and are active under the cover of night while the rest of the world sleeps, while others are less adapted to living among humans and prefer to go about their business in privacy. Some are around, and just plain interesting to watch. Trail cameras are a discreet way to discover and monitor what wildlife is present close to your home.

You’re invited to tune in while collecting data in your backyard to listen to an informal discussion on this topic. We will end the event with some fun themed trivia! Come join us and turn your backyard into your own research station!
