Virtual: Yardversity Blitz: Documenting the Biodiversity in your Backyard!

8-11am CST, Saturday July 18th, Online via Youtube Live
Registration is not required for this program.

Join the Yardversity Blitz event as people from around Milwaukee (and even the world!) will take to their backyards as they “compete” in the Yardversity Blitz. Join this fun and interactive biodiversity challenge from your own backyard or neighborhood! How many species can we document collectively? Connect with your backyard and contribute to science! The event will kick off with a lecture on an overview of common backyard wildlife, followed by data collection and discussions on all things flora and fauna, trivia, and a raffle prize drawing. Come join us and turn your backyard into your own research station! Remember that this is in the Central Time Zone.

This event will take place on Youtube live, please follow this link to participate: Youtube Live. Also, please follow the Facebook page for updates and to share your stories with us.

This is a free event, with donations accepted. There has never been a more critical time to support the Urban Ecology Center's mission of connecting people in cities to nature and each other. YOUR generous support keeps our green spaces thriving and our virtual and limited in-person programming available to all in our community.
