Event Description
Grab a companion (a friend, family member, or neighbor) and dig into the basics of starting a vegetable garden this spring! In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how growing food is better, and more fun, when you do it together.
Designed for beginners, this class builds confidence and connection while helping you grow fresh food together all season long. You’ll explore what to plant and when, learn how to read seed packets, and discover simple strategies for gardening in small spaces. You’ll start seeds in small pots during the workshop and take home extra seed packets to keep growing. We'll get our hands dirty and plant a community garden bed together at Washington Park UEC.
