Event Description
(For adults) Kick and glide your way across the wintry landscape with the Urban Ecology Center! Over three weeks we'll learn the basics of cross country skiing to build our ability and stamina. From a balanced stance, to coordinating arm and leg movements, we'll help build your foundation for this favorite winter past-time. We'll meet at Riverside Park for the first two weeks and then venture to another local green space to ski the trails on a mini field trip for week three.

Gear provided for participants. Please dress for the weather, warm winter layers and thick socks are recommended. Adults 18 and older are encouraged to join us.

We will provide refunds as follows: 10 business days or more: full refund, 5-9 business days: 50% refund, 0-4 business days: no refund.

Event Description
(For adults) No matter your experience level, hiking is an activity for all to enjoy! Whether you’re just getting comfortable on the trails or ready to take your skills to the next level, this series is all about learning, growing, and exploring the natural world together. 

We’ll cover the essentials of hiker preparedness and goal setting, dive into the proper use of hiking gear, and enjoy a variety of exciting trail-based activities. Transportation to offsite hike locations, light trail snacks, and lots of fun provided too!
