August 2nd: Legume Family, Common Street Trees
August 9th: Pines, Spruce, Fir (MEET AT FOREST HOME CEMETERY)
Deepen your forest exploration by learning to identify the trees around you! Throughout this 8-week course taught by Forester Caitlin Reinartz, you will learn to identify all of the trees native to southern Wisconsin, and many common non-natives. We’ll spend our 2-hour session hiking through the woods, learning to identify trees and a little about what makes each species special. This class takes place totally outdoors, rain or shine, so come prepared for the weather.
Transportation is not provided by the UEC for this experience.
