Mequon Nature Preserve - Meet at Riverside Park

Event Description
(For adults & teens) At an astonishing 444 acres, the Mequon Nature Preserve still remains somewhat of a hidden gem with superb birding opportunities very close to Milwaukee. Led by Director of Restoration and Operations, Cory Gritzmacher, we will explore a portion of the five miles of trails through land being restored to beech maple forest and wooded wetlands (what the area would have been in the early 1800’s). We’ll also climb the observation tower and tour the education center. Dress for the weather and bring lunch. Binoculars available.

All participants must be fully vaccinated and masked when riding in UEC vehicles. Participants regardless of vaccination status are welcome to meet us at Monches County Park. Online pre-registration is required.

We will provide refunds as follows: 10 business days or more: full refund, 5-9 business days: 50% refund, 0-4 business days: no refund.
